Risk Disclosure

Trading and investing carry substantial risk. Please read this carefully before using AlgoClue to track signals, run backtests, or automate orders.

AlgoClue is a software and analytics tool. It is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst, it does not provide investment advice or recommendations, and it does not guarantee any profit or outcome. Every trading decision and every order is your own. You may lose some or all of your capital.

1. Market risk

Trading in securities, derivatives (F&O), commodities, currencies, and crypto assets involves a high degree of risk and is not suitable for every investor. Prices can move rapidly and against you. With leveraged products, losses can exceed your initial capital. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

2. No advice, no guarantee

Channel statistics, leaderboards, backtests, and any other analytics are informational and educational only and are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. We do not promise that following any signal, channel, or strategy will be profitable. Consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser and a tax professional before acting.

3. Past performance and backtests

  • Past performance and recorded outcomes are not indicative of future results.
  • Backtests and practice trading are hypothetical and simulated. They benefit from hindsight and may not account for real-world slippage, liquidity, latency, fees, or the emotional reality of live trading. Simulated results frequently differ — often materially — from live results.

4. Third-party channels

The channels you track are operated by independent third parties with whom we have no relationship. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for their signals, claims, conduct, or regulatory status. Some may be unregistered or may not be acting in your interest. AlgoClue merely records and analyses the messages they publish to channels you choose to follow.

5. Automation and algorithmic-trading risk

When you enable an automation, orders are relayed to your broker or exchange based on rules you set. Automated execution carries additional risks:

  • software errors, mis-configuration, or unexpected signal formats can cause wrong, duplicated, or missed orders;
  • connectivity loss, API downtime, rate limits, or token expiry can prevent orders from being placed or managed;
  • fast markets can fill orders at prices far from those expected.

You must actively monitor your automations and your account. Algorithmic trading via broker APIs is subject to evolving SEBI, exchange, and broker rules; you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable requirements, approvals, and registrations.

6. Crypto-asset risk

  • Crypto assets (Virtual Digital Assets) are extremely volatile and are not legal tender in India;
  • the regulatory and tax treatment of crypto in India is uncertain and evolving — including a 30% tax on gains and 1% TDS, for which you are solely responsible;
  • crypto exchanges carry counterparty, custody, security, and availability risk, and may be unavailable or restricted in your jurisdiction.

7. Execution, broker and data risk

We do not control, and are not responsible for, your broker’s or exchange’s execution, pricing, margins, downtime, or decisions. Market data, quotes, and parsed signals may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

8. Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining and paying all taxes arising from your trading and investment activity.

9. Your responsibility

You acknowledge that you use AlgoClue at your own risk, that all decisions are yours, and that AlgoClue is not liable for any trading or investment losses, as further described in our Terms of Service.
